Well, the market got back to those last-hour fades. But FDEI up 6. NEWN back to above 6 bucks, the low side of the recent trading range that goes up to 8 bucks. NPWZ finished up 28. Hay, that's not a bad day, A? ALTI only got up 5. CABN up 10, VLNC 10. AFPW up 40. Holy smokers. Beat PEIX. WNDT up 39, BWEN and HLXW up 12 and 14. All winds. And MKTY ended up 42.

KEPI down 41. TSPG down 33. CLTH down 21. WWPW and DSTI down 16. Might think about DSTI now. Or APWR. Or ESLR. TSLA ended up down 2. Honeymoon's over. QTWW down 9 on that Fisker news.

Well, good hunting guys. The week's history. See y'all Tuesday. (I'll be here manana. Where else do I have to go?) But. Seriously. The week's history. But you can never be too sure.

MIDDAY

(stock #'s in %)

TSLA getting most of the news headlines. Up 17. They sell 10 cars a month and make no profit. This may be about it for awhile. Like AONE. Though we love it. Yes we love it. Super hot $100k maglev roadster. I meant elmag.

Doesn't beat MKTY tho. Up 85 on 753 shares. Now that's efficiency. Talk of bankruptcy but I don't really know for sure. They do have a dmfc (direct methanol) fuel cell and have been working with the military on deploy.

AFPW still up 18. Aluminum-based fuel cells with sales. NPWZ holding at up 28 on now 80k shares. Also fuel cells. Also DMFCs.

BWEN now up 14. Maybe breaking out. Up against their 50-days.

Buy low. Sell high. KEPI down 41. CLTH down 21. RVBF down 20. MDTL down 14. WWPW down 16. The only one I would consider is WWPW.

I hear a lot that the financial regulation bill is crap. The banking oligarchy wins again. It doesn't fix the problem that created the crisis. Fannie May and Freddy Mac may take another trillion. I guess we shall learn more in the days to come. But consider our government didn't have the nads to even get bin laden in 9 years. It's not right pards. And I don't know how we can make it right. Sometimes I'm feeling like a tea party and just voting them all out. Or not even vote. Oops. There's that negativity again.

ALTI still up 13. I did say at the close yesterday that they were a buy. There's one you could have bought (or I could have dammit) after close yesterday and be up 13 now for a good day sell. That's the way it's played.

CABN up 10. Good chart for sure. They should keep climbing. Big dogs love nat gas and CO2 making fuel. Even despite no revs or profits for who knows how long.

Flat market. So far. PEIX up 50. Out of bankruptcy they cometh with corn ethanol. TSLA up another 14. BFRE up 16. AFPW up 12. BWEN up 10. Wind infrastructure. NPWZ just opened up 29.

KEPI down another 66. This comp has been obliterated in 3 days. A solar. WWPW down 16. Wind with Ontario contracts. MDTL down 14. Fuel cells on market for small electronics.

TSLA up 40. Amazing. ALTI fell off the cliff last half hour. Down 22. That's nuts. It's a buy. FDEI came all the way back and at 4PM re-released their latest $200M contract news. ENER a new low. Down 9. VLNC down 13. New low.

MIDAFT

(stock #'s in %)

Well, crying doesn't help. I guess I could have mentioned Tesla (TSLA) started trading today and is up 20 something now. I just figured you all had herd about it one way or another. So. We like electric speedwagons. Hale yea. Only we want to fill up on a nuke or solar or wind or geothermal or hydro and not coal until it's clean. Always hope somewhere, A? Even if they don't see profits until 2012.

SNRY and TSPG, solars, both up 25. Sorry I didn't see it coming. Hell, sorry I didn't call down 250 Dow. PWSV and BFRE up 13.

KEPI down 55. CLTH down 43. FDEI down 15. CABN down 12. It's still just in development. APWR down 8. May be bottom. ALTI flat.

Friday's jobs report will be ugly. Wait till next week to buy anything? I magine that's werd goin a round.

MIDDAY

(stock #'s in %)

Yes, stocks can't go up in a straight line. But why can't we run things smarter than this? Why can't we have leaders that lead better than this?

Well, down we go. KEPI down another 55. 20 cents to 4 cents in a day of trading. Solar. CLTH down 43. Muni waste to energy tech. How much common sense is in that tech? Right. A lot. SLTZ down 23 again. And on and on.

SNRY up 28. BEHL up 14. Solar and algae, respectively.

OPEN

(stock #'s in %)

Just too much bad news. Surely sad. We knew China was slowing down. Today it's confirmed with leading indicators. Just the latest cut. We're headed for new lows.

But SNRY up 21. OOGI down 14. ALTI up 1. I can't recommend buying anything today.

Absolutely crazy day. Look at these numbers.

KEPI down 56. CBWP down 48. WWEI down 32 on 130 shares. PWSV down 25. AWNE up 45. On WHAT?! TSPG up 33. WNDT up 21. MKTY from down whatever to up 25.

More to the point. EFOI up 10. CABN ended up 5. NPWZ down 18. Catch them at the bottom. ALTI down 10. I was premature earlier. That's pretty much an axiom in'it? BFRE down another 16. VLNC down 5. And FDEI ended up down 10. Can anyone tell me why?

Other stuff. The government's sued over Cape Wind decision. 2 major power plants went down in Northeast on Thursday I guess what, storms? O yea, tornados. Canada became India's 9th civil nuke power partner. $40B next 10 yrs. US pushing to limit liability. Duh. But $20B from BP. China nuke help to Pakistan. Total cut off gasoline to Iran as Chevez and Assad back Iran's right to nuke energy. Well, civil nuke sure. But how hard is it to monitor bastards.

I think that's all I got. Out pards. Out and over.

MIDDAY

(stock #'s in %)

No movement. No volume. Partly the new financial legislation to factor in I suppose. Even Supreme Court striking down part of Sarbanes-Oxley.

CABN up 10 more. 11 cents. I recommended around 7 just a few weeks ago. I reasoned that their natgas and CO2 to make fuel tech was just what the big dogs like. Above all lines now. Coming up on early June spike to 12.5. GCHT up 19. China wind turbine maker sold 50 units for Mongolia project. CSKH up 14. Solar maker and installer getting closer to collecting on projects I guess.

PWSV down 25. Energy efficiency in California. Making money. Not a lot. But making. MKTY down 30. Bankruptcy talk lately. SLTZ back 23. BSRC down 11. Back to its last 50 or 200-day line.

OPEN

TSPG up 53. No reason I see. WNDT up 24. AWNE up 37.

On a more grounded note, EFOI up 7. OOGI up 5. ALTI down 7. A buy.

EARLY

Goldman Sachs has finally begun coverage of the solar industry. FSLR a buy with $150 target. JASO also a buy.

SUNDAY

Last words on Meet The Press' hour-long discussion over the Afghanistan war: the exit strategy is alternative energy. I absolutely agree. But we shouldn't even BE in Afghanistan. The mistake was in not pursuing and capturing Bin Laden and the rest involved in 9/11, no matter where they went. That's all we still should be doing. And for some reason we can't pressure Pakistan enough to let us go in and get the bastards?! What has ensued since that mistake is absolutely maddening.

That said, we did free the people of Iraq and Afghanistan from evil regimes at great sacrifice of our heroic troops and great cost and years of grief and sadness and anguish. And that's reason enough why our government can continue to borrow at low rates from the rest of the world. And owed much back from the world. It may come in time. Then again, this global financial crisis did come from the US. Maybe we lost some credit due.

Thousands of Floridians are owed over $14M in solar rebates from the state. Makes for bad feelings toward clean energy, you think? Come on Florida. Play fair.

Watching Deadliest Catch - food supply for the rich - and one hell of an adventure - the episode where they not only lost a crew member but a whole boat. And I find that quantum dot solar needs lead selenide and titanium dioxide to capture the "hot electrons". But still a lot of steps to commercial development. Just one is transferring hot E's to conducting wire. "We'll be lucky if in our lifetime" that they'll be on rooftops. O well. Awesome. But back to the energy policy drawing boards.

Fisker will be 6 months late in delivering EV's despite the $500M US government loan. This is QTWW. The problem is private financing, not tech, they say. O, it couldn't be the $88k sportscar or the $40k family sedan after tax rebates (yeah count on them). Well, that's where the Volt's coming in at. More expensive cars. I remember buying a Toyota dam station wagon in 1970 for about $2.5k. Yep. Low payments. That was another economy altogether.

MIT has come up with nano strontium-substituted lanthanum cobalt perovskite for solid oxide fuel cells. Current SOFC efficiency is ~60%. And they don't need Platinum. Thin film perovskite over zyrconia gives 50% reduction in operating temps which extends component lives. Could mean old coal plants transformed into fuel cell plants fed with methanol or even cleaner fuels.

G20 comes out of riotous Toronto with agreement to plan deficit reductions with flexibility on stimulus. Pourfict. And Chinese exports may suffer on currency rise. Well, here we are. Then payrolls US fall in June from laying off census workers. But, to the good, Alex will not be the storm to make the oil spill pure hell. And BO has the financial bill to sign and here comes energy bill debate. But. The US has 46 states in Greece. Budgets broke to total tune of $128B short. Oil's going back up at $78 and Gold too.

Well, Sunday's getting a little long in tooth. So happy trailers all ye fellow awesters. Keep cool. Stay good. Do great.

PS. Navy hopes to launch a couple satellites to harvest electrons from space to use with Earth 's magnetic field for propulsion. Electrons exceedingly scarce beyond 1000km. This is space street cleaners stuff. But ISS too.

SATURDAY

(stock #'s in %)

ALTI ended up 17 Friday on 6 times normal volume and another 8 after the close. That signals the start of a significant appreciation. The 50-day lines are next hurdle. Their news was good and there will be more new business to come. Nano lithium titanate batteries and other techs plus part ownership of titania supply. Two PhD execs. It's been a 2-year ride down to this bottom. Great long-term buy and hold in my opine.

SATC up 7 Friday on quadruple normal volume. Then made a new high after close. Makes inverters and such for wind, solar, etc. They move slow but will probably keep going up.

SLTZ ended up 25. Still watching if and when they get Buda Solar. SOLR up 10 on 5 times normal volume. That was a bounce off all their 50 and 200-day lines.

VLNC went down to its 12-month low, then ended up down 4 on 8 times normal volume. Substantial contracts. Lithium iron magnesium phosphate batteries.

O yea. Half - ~$400B - of the $787B stimulus passed just after inauguration is still to be spent. Probably all of it before November. Maybe it's a good thing we will get an economic push the second half. Besides, big projects take time to plan so I suppose it couldn't have all been spent earlier. And probably a lot of this last $400B will be put into clean energy. If they can't figure out how to inject it into their campaigns. I'm thinking LED lighting, smart grid and building efficiency and next gen everything else. But they could have financed 60, 70 newgen breeder no-waste nuke plants and put us in clean energy for 50 years. O, maybe I ballpark. Or put it into quantum dot solar and molten salt and flywheel storage. That's why he hired Chu isn't it? To figure all this out. O yea, or ole clean coal.

I'm not sure if I sent this idea to Bill Gates or not, but I always thought a blimp in the shape and colors of the Microsoft symbol with solar panels on top to power the thing would have really been cool. You know, over golf tournaments and Indy 500 and all. Yea, I did send it years ago. Still a good idea I think.

And a week after TVA blacked out its renewable energy program and a letter to the White House, it's back on.

Kuwait signed a nuclear some kind of deal with USA. Well, at least USA got something out of rescuing Kuwait in Iraq War Uno. Japan dealing with India on civil nuclear. Russia's also dealing with India and getting other countries started too. And France some. Even S. Korea. US has been behind the ball for decades and it still shows.

With Alston plant opening in Chattanooga we get EPA saying USA needs 187 new nuke plants by 2050. According to the Nuclear Energy Institute. Do the math. $10B+ each? Though smaller plants are in the conventional new wisdom. Hopefully using thorium or fast neutron or breeder or fusion or cold fusion tech. Alston can produce the world's largest turbines. And can ship anywhere via the Tennessee River.

EVSO up 91. Put out a press release about discoveries at universities and wala your stock almost doubles. I don't know. Maybe they are developing quantum dot solar. But give me a break. I sure would let it be known if I were.

PSRU up 27. I guess their walk around Manhattan hawking their light bulbs paid off.

PWSV up 18. I can understand that. And FDEI came almost all the way back from the ugly open.

OOGI and CBWP down 20. MMGW down 18. MDTL back 15. BHWX down 12. PLUG down 10. I can't tell you whom to buy tonight in after hours. Or tomorrow morn. It's frackin crazy. I refer you to aweinc.us. But maybe I would consider PLUG. Depends on your time frame. You want quick gains or 6 month tax gains? PLUG is a 6 month. Or year. Fast gain I still think FDEI. Among others.

But God. Put out a press release on somebody else's business and double in a day. What a farce.

Well, will we get any revelation from the G20 from Toronto. Probably just as much as from the Fed yesterday. Or BP. Who, by the by, are drilling off their artificial island they made so they could drill in the Artic ocean to get some oil to flow through the Alaska pipepline again.

FDEI now down 23. EVSO now up 32. I really really don't know anymore what the hell is in Wall Street minds and hearts. Or all investors anywhere. O yea, here's one. RBCN 's CEO and CFO sold all their stock holdings last month. Well, sure, up 10 times from the bottom. Can't fault their thinking.

CABN retreated off their 200-day lines. MDTL down 15. NEWN down 6. Might try to get in there. FSYS might be going up on the natgas craze of late. People now saying we have 100 years of natgas reserves in the USA. I'm trying to check it out. They keep a lot of secrets. They being they of course.

I rest my case on market casino investor mentality and or pure manipulation.

OOGI back down 13. Algae at plant stacks. PLUG down 8 more. Fuel cells in forklifts at Walmart Canada. CABN up another 10, up 50 from where I recommended not long ago. Gasoline from nat gas and CO2. At their 200-day lines now. BHWX down 14. Lithium reserves.

Well, Murphy law. They had to take the cap off the well. Tell you what. I'm no engineer. I'm no scientist. Or just keep dumping crushed rock or the dam biggest boulder we got or a world trade center of concrete on the spot until it stops. This is driving everyone nuts.

So. QTMM, which has tech which can potentially double the efficiency of solar panels - MIT and other scientists say - has rebounded. Moore's Law, right? Now up 36. Strange too at NTCXF. Announced Monday that they're in business in China and product ready to ship in 10 months. Down 8 more today, over 20 from Monday. ECOS back down 18.

US energy policy on the fly. Talk lately for NG (natgas) as a bridge off oil. CABN (up 2) (recommended last week here) bringing in next gen LPG using CO2 to make fuel. And that's not their only deal. And they say their process won't use any of US present NG use of 25 tcf (trillion cubic feet). But. DOE: US has 10 years left of NG unless we frack the shale which has problems of ground water pollution at least. With shale gas maybe 20 years. CABN says they can produce 47 years of US fuel use without denting present NG use for heating and gas stoves and some power plants. So they want to convert truck fleets to NG. It's up in the air. It's all up in the air.

WEEKEND

Read a report that China by '09 had 97% control of active molybdenum mining (to add to their control in rare earth minerals and lithium, growing control in fossil fuels and clean energy, along with sovereign wealth funds of trillions.) Wish we were doing that well. But I read on that there's a huge moly deposit in Idaho. Big enough for world demand for a decade. Worth $70B. So, we're not completely screwed. Yet.

World solar industry projected to be $70B by '15.

Our government put off a decision to raise ethanol blend in gasoline until fall. Well, what's fall? Elections. The corn states' vote. The closer to elections, the more those voters will remember that democrats raised their farm business demand (but all the rest of voters won't see higher food prices until after elections). My bet is it gets raised to 12% (a 20% increase). But I hope there's no raise. Also heard on Farm Report that the corn market's already getting tight. With no politicians with the guts to say no food for fuel, I guess we just have to wait until all the corn eth and soybean biodiesel plants get converted over to cellulosic and other non-food stock plants. And never buy a corn ethanol or soybean biodiesel stock.

Obama gave the job of Gulf oversight as a second job to Secretary of Navy. What the hell. Is that his way of paring the deficit? And Hayward out yacht racing. As one Gulf resident put it, put a skimmer on the back of that yacht and sail it over to the Gulf. Unbelievable. I'm praying all the oil is out of the Gulf before the first hurricane. Right now it looks like neither the government or BP are doing all they can for that to happen.

What the hell's going on! TVA put a moratorium on their solar subsidy program for homes and businesses. Gone through $30M of $50M allocated. And BLM has added on MegaWatt capacity fees to normal market value land lease costs for solar that are tiered by technology so that it's a disincentive for the more efficient techs and charging, in cases, twice as much as market value.

It would take 15K sq.mi. - 10M acres - of algae production to replace all US fuel use. Equal to 1/7th of US land in corn production. An acre of algae can produce 5K gallons of diesel/year.

PWAZ up 76 according to Yahoo and TD Ameritrade's charts but not the TD Ameritrade Streamer. This is not the first time either with this stock. Or TD Ameritrade. Flat market. Reflecting the economy pretty well. Double dip coming? Gulf of Oil waiting for hurricane. Louisiana thinking more in terms of $100B. Wars. Unemployment. And debt. Oy. So far, the market is following what I suggested earlier this week. If it goes over 200-days we may go up slowly like the economy. Perpetual hope with reality.

XDSL topped out at noon up over 40. Actually, there was news. On Monday. US patent approved. A little delay, A? Now up 36. Gone through 50-day lines. Big volume. PLUG up 15. I'm saying, going by the chart, that they're a buy still. But it's low volume and a thick spread, so put in your price carefully. But longer haul it's looking right.

QTMM down 23. Gone from 20 cents to 10 in weeks. Back to its bottom. They usually go lower before recovery. Quantum dots. And such.

NEWN up another 4. China lith-ion batts. Revs, nets up 7X. One of my recommendations. NPWZ up 5. They may have bottomed with that fall to 3.5 cents Wednesday. LSCG up 4 more. And FDEI down 4 after putting out a news release that we can download their financials from their website and when I tried the link from the release it went nowhere. This company is starting to disturb me.

XDSL now up 27 in quick fall. Watchful eye.

Options Friday. Tame so far.

XDSL up 24. "Smart" nanobatt. No news. Up against 50-day lines. BHWX up another 11. Lithium reserves. Doubled in last 6 sessions. I should have called it. Missed it. Now up against 50-day lines. No 200-day lines.

A couple of crazies: PWAZ down 46. Zinc-air fuel cells. Zinc is cheap. Air is cheaper. I don't know why they can't get to market. AWNE down 48. Wind developer. But nothing happening.

PSUD down 14. Algae developer. LMCO down 12. EV developer.

MIDDAY

(stock #'s in %)

It's just June. The market is almost always slower in summer. And these just are not good times. But enough with the gloom. There's great life changing technology aching to get to market. And focus here is on the clean energy part of that. May the Lord send us some good news.

NPWZ came back 18 from open. So. Next time it's down 33% at the open, buy it.

O yea, bad news from Spain. Proposal to cut solar subsidies not only on new projects but on existing that were promised 25 years of specific subsidies in '07 law. Yep, Spain has to cut back. But why on solar? SPWRA, CSIQ, SOLF I understand have the biggest exposure. But SPWRA and CSIQ are up today, though probably just because they're coming back from being beaten down the last half year or more. It just gets increasingly difficult to predict market fickleness, especially in new markets like clean E. But I'm trying. Bottom line for you all is you're getting familiar with the stocks to own for the next 25 years. And sometimes just the next 4 hours or less.

BEHL up another 5. Just sayin. NEWN's up 6. Up now from low 6 bucks to low 7 bux in short time. One of my top recommendations (at aweinc.us).

Ronn Motor (RNNM) back up 66. Crazy moving. But that's the way to make quick money. They've been going straight down for a year. At their bottom. But you get the quick big moves in transition. But I'm still not up to speed on their fundamentals except that they're trying to enter the EV market.

CBWP down 16 more. Gone from .18 to .10 in 5 days. Owee Howie. And SLTZ down 8. Still no word on their acquiring Buda Solar.

Finally, SNRY now up 20. Revs of $3M, net loss of $3M. Does that give you a buy? Except, yes, revs did triple year to year. So. Sure. Future hope. Let it come back.

OPEN

(stock #'s in %)

Market down to test 200-day lines it looks. Plus no encouraging job report. Plus everything else.

BHWX up 23. The miner with lithium deposits in Nevada. AFPW up 9. Fuel cells with sales, gov contracts. IAUS up 18. The news of imminent finance for production. SNRY up 16. Reported finances this morning. Solar. Tripled sales but lost as much money as revs. NTCXF up 14. Quantum dot development for solar. NCEN up 13. Wind developer.

NPWZ down 33 again. They came all the way back yesterday. They're in a bottoming process most definitely. But only buy on extreme lows. But it's one we all should want to get in on. CABN down 9. SLTZ, EFOI down 8.

OVERNIGHT

Maybe this tells the story of how far behind in intelligence and care the most behind members of the utility industry are. TVA has just installed scrubbers (for sulfur, mercury, etc) on the 5th of their 11 coal plants. And TVA is owned by the federal government.

MIDDAY

(stock #'s in %)

Market comeback to flat. Not bad after going up 200 Dows. Volume higher. Beyond Petroleum jiggyin up $20B for spill. I'm sure they all worked it out before BO's big production first speech from oval and all that.

The market's almost like a horse race.

GAEC in the lead, up 60. No news. No information. Don't know what they do. Or supposed to. Fuggiddaboudem.

Right behind at up 40 is RNNM. Ron Motor. EV's I think.

Oops, AWNE's in between, up 51. I know they're American Wind Energy.

URRE still up 34. The uranium miner who might poison Navajo land water. Up to State of New Mexico, not EPA.

EQST up 25. May be real deal. News today of JV with Russian railroad equipment giant for $110M infusion. EQST has gasification techs.

CABN up 19. The NG/CO2 fuel.

HYEG up 16. HYEG. And they're coming to the turn. O, GAEC now only up 20.

And BDCO up another 13 with BHWX trailing behind.

NPWZ down 21. Check back with Zacks on that. WWEI, GAZU down 20. WTWO and RGUS down 16.

OPEN

(stock #'s in %)

Well, an honest check to yesterday's run over the 200-day lines for the indeces.

A slew of clean E stocks we hardly ever hear from up by double digits. Maybe just catching up to yesterday. Or trying to get notice. GAEC up 60. URRE up 34. A fed court by default approved their new uranium mine, saying it's not on Navajo land. But the chemicals they will use in their mining process could contaminate ground water. Nuclear is clean energy to me. But as we know, the most dangerous.

EQST up 25. AWNE up 13. HYEG up 16. IAUS up another 25. CABN up 12. A reaffirm of their rise last week after touching back on their 50-days. So I would say buy it on technicals. Though there are probably better buys. But it's a new tech for petrol production. One probably more favored by old school investors who like nat gas (even coal because of the CO2 factor).

NPWZ down 14. They got hit hard this morning. Now at 6.5 cents. Hit 3.7 earlier. I don't know why. No news. Waiting to be sure this one has truly bottomed before buying (check aweinc.us for reasons).

RVBF down 15.

Big move over 200's. Why? I'm not sure why with all the worries. But that's what the market does or tries to do. Climb a wall of worry. Although yesterday's manufacturing and inflation reports came in well and parts of the world are growing strongly.

BDCO - Blue Dolphin - up 76. It's always coming from where you never suspect. And, unfortunately, nothing to do with clean energy. They are investing in Indonesian oil by stock distribution. FCEL up 17. Just getting back to their old level. UBRG, INTK, IAUS, SNRY all up double digit.

MMBF down 50. RNNM down 36. WWEI back 21. BEHL 18.

MIDDAY LATE

Sorry about late. Ruckin up ole construction stories outside with the crew. I can take it back to the 1860's. Now there was a war.

So whats the so on our clean energy future. IAUS looking seriously up at 33. UBRG up 20. TSPG 15. SNRY 18. SLTZ up 10. AEBF 13. JASO 8. Solars. Werd out that BO's talk tonight will juice solars. Hell, even CSIQ up 5 despite all the law suits. SPWRA up 40% from where we were calling a bottom last month but coming up against their 50's. APWR up 7. Not sure if they will come back anymore short term.

Downers. BEHL 20. SLPO 6. Remember them? Superlattice Power? Jumped to 2 cents or what, now half a cent. That's the clean energy two step. Crownbutt down 14 (CBWP). And WWPW down 10.

Mexican government signed on for their nano-based insulating coating, news today on expected revs for next 12 months. UBRG bounced back 20. SNRY up 21 on news of S. BEHL down 24 on profit-taking from yesterday. AFPW down 4. EFOI down 2.

First of all, Moody's downgrade of Greece to junk helped things. You remember Moody's don'tcha? They was one of them boys that worked with Goldman and Lehman and Morgan and Morgan again and Stanley and O remember these good ole boys ... Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith et al. Yea Moody was just taking their bucks for favorable ratings on their bogus mortgage securities. O well, I guess Moody's should still be in business. They're as good as Standard and Poors. Or bad. Anyway, Moody's move seemed perfectly timed to keep the averages from crossing over 200-day lines (or closing over).

O yea. Clean energy. Sorry. Lost track. Well, definitely low volumes. What does that tell us? No juice to the upside. Well, do we have "Beyond Petroleum" to blame? Hay, when we have a bastard to beat up we know how very well don't we. Kill the redcoats. T'is the season.

BO goes on TV tomorrow night for his first big speech from the white house. If he doesn't go moon shot for clean energy then screw it.

Anyway, WWEI rose from the dead. Up 28. RNNM was up 31. MMBF up 38. EVCA up 19. DSTI up 18. BEHL up 53. I have to say one more time I mentioned it Saturday. And other ups.

THOUGHTS and STUFF

Crunch this. An EV running on el from a coal plant emits 1/3 emissions of petrol car. That is good news, pards.

Saturday, June 12, 2010

THOUGHTS and STUFF

Dow again up against 200-day lines. Ditto Naz and S&P. Several economic indicators next week will be relatively benign and shouldn't have much effect on the market. If Dow goes through and stays above the 200s, then the Euro crisis worry is absorbed and the market may resume a rise as slow as the recovery. Always hope for the best, A? It might help for some new jobs.

BEHL might be one to gamble on. Certainly one of my favorite techs - algae capture of power plant CO2. A pink, but soon going OB and just put out an update. .4 cents. I know. Way cheap. What the hay, risk a couple hundred.

FDEI all the way back down from where they flew up 70% what, Wednesday? Down 30% Friday. Told ya insider trading sux. Anyway, their India 5MW project will come in ~$5/W. But they're paying $3,700/ac for land in the desert. Sounds like some graft. They still are a top pick, but they owe us better reporting.

All right, fellow trailheads. What is what. Can you believe all the engineers in the world cannot plug that hole? The pressure at 1 mile deep is ~161 times our atmosphere. The temp about freezing. Pressure of the reservoir is ~5 times that at ~180 Farenheit. Is this a plot to make people really want clean energy enough to change? Or will we just rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of Oil or GOO for short? You know, combined with the plastic and trash tyres the size of the United States at least combined in all our oceans, we may see the extinction of all sealife. In our lifetimes. I wish our governments and many of our businesses would change. But what can we do. What can we do.

VCTZF up 20. Vertical hydroponic farming I think. Robert Kennedy Jr. on board. GAZU up 26. PACE program. BFRE up 10. Cellulosic. I think they're uppers from here. Heck, down to 25 cents from a buck lately. BEHL up 10. Another newcomer. Algae. Almost a half cent. WWPW up 14.

Downs. Always downs. EVCA 23. CBWP, MMGW, PSRU I think mentioned earlier. And now SLTZ down 11. CABN down 9. And NPWZ a new low. Can they bankrupt clean energy?

Uno last bit of tid: Germany installed 3GW of solar in '09. 50% of global. USA put in 450MW. I don't know. Do you get as angry as I do?

Well, FDEI news is now out. It's about their 5MW project in India. I was thinking more about that $450M project update or financial viz. Amazing how they punched the stock up 70% yesterday. I hate crap like that. I mean, yea, they're doing the work. They should make the money. But how about giving investors that want to believe in them a dam chance. O. Just my beef I guess. O yea, ever hear of insider trading? That kind of shit can really turn investors off.

DSTI lost the D. Down to $1.4os area now. TSPG and GAZU both down over 20 after yesterday's glory in the down market of yesterday. And WWEI down another 24. Now at 3 tenths of a cent. Very rarely are those serious companies. But. You never know. Look at FDEI.

Sometimes they just never tell ya until later.

NPWZ now down to 8 cents. Maybe Zacks has something to tell us. (Zacks' target is over a buck in a year). Or buy them now or forever hold your piece.

LMCO down 8. $1.50 area. Hanging on their 200-days with the 50's rushin up to meet and greet. But there are many many EV companies coming on the scene.

WWPW back 7. AFPW back 10. MMGW down another 16.

And, finally, Bill Gates and other leaders say today we should triple US investment in energy R&D. And some folks are saying we should stop subsidizing fossil fuels to the tune of tens of billions a year. Well, who knows who's right, uh? But stuff is going to catch up. And then what do we got? Magnetic power. Of 10k Dow. Strikes again. But we're still under the 200-day lines.

FDEI jumped out of their box. Up 38. News coming? If so, I'm so happy for those insiders. WWPW up 21. What should be their price going forward? Read the project release and you might think it's a double at least to come.

TGI Solar Power Group (TSPG). New kid on the block. Lots of news releases. Up 36. Trust me. When I know something's going to go up like that I will let you know.

BIOF up 12. Talk of gov mandating 12% ethanol mix into gasoline this summer as a compromise between present 10 and desired by ethanol industry 15. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. We can do better.

Wild Brush (WBRE) up 27. Pants on fire. Maybe catch this. Again, lots of news releases. And our fave GEYI up another 20.

AXTG down 17. SNRY down 18. CABN down 7 off yesterday's explosion. NCEN down 17. Obviously, mentioning the downers is cause for consideration of making moola on the comeback.

Well, the Dow and S&P came back. Yay. But what happened to the Naz?

CABN up 29 (Yahoo said 36). Many discrepancies between TD Ameritrade and Yahoo lately over percentages, even volumes. Disturbing. Yes, they are bulletin board and pink sheet stocks. But this is the digital age folks. Get it fixed. Following percentages will be from Yahoo, though they are mostly the wrong ones.

They had CBWP up 10, reversing a recent fall after the shareholder update on projects. But WWPW, which announced their new wind farm, fell 15.

SLTZ down 19. They announced their acquisition-to-be's new biz. But we wonder when the heck are they going to finalize that acquisition (Buda Solar).

MMGW down 19. Haven't been getting any contracts. MDTL back down 25. Again, no news if their fuel cells are selling. LMCO down 10. Back to its 50-day lines.

Not even going to mention HYDB down 63. Oops, I did, didn't I.

FDEI down 13. I don't see them going up until they give some financial clarity or project update or SOMEthing. ESLR bounced back 9, but there's concern they will run out of cash before the China manufacturing is up and making profits.

ENER made another new low. Ditto CSIQ, who has issues to settle.

BSRC up 10. LSCG up 3.

Finally, AFPW down 11. They, as reported in EARLY, had good news. So, the market just seemed "off". But it usually is any individual day.

CABN now up 30. Lots of volume. Great patent except it uses NG. NG runs out too. DOE puts US reserves at 10 years. Though its more now if we include the shale gas. Or deep water wells. Also, hopefully the use of CO2 in their process is higher than emissions from their gasoline.

AEBF now back up 21. Cellulosic biofuels. Definitely better than fuel from food or plants that displace food plantings. But still emissions. XSNX stilll up 12. ESLR up 7.

SLTZ down 17. WWPW down 15. LMCO down 13. PSRU down 14. I'm still not sure about them. FDEI down 13. AFPW down 11.

LSCG up 3. BSRC up 4. Steady. Up.

It could be a bottom. Our indeces were here in January. Or was it February. We don't have to go back to test the lows of Spring '09. Do we? Do we want to? This is low enough. Isn't it? But it's June, one of the worst months for the market. And it's mid-term election year. And Republicans do control business. Well, there are some Democrat business people. But can we keep the politics in politics and keep business in wise progress and honest, forthright honor? I wish.

CABN up 31 now. Now 35. XSNX still up 13. I guess because it can. Let alone GEYI up 60 or PBOF up 40. Exactly, let them alone. ESLR sprung back 10. CABN now 41. LSCG up 1. As is BSRC.

Well, we're already dreading the final hour today. FDEI down 13. WWPW down 15. That'll teach them to put out a news release on a new contract. AEBF down 21. I think that's a new low. SLTZ down 11. LMCO down 9. NPWZ back down 10. Is 9 cents their bottom? Your guess maybe better than mine. AFPW down 11. Again, if you get a contract don't announce it these days. Because whatever's going on with Wall Street and the herd seems a little mucky. Really folks, how perverse can they make it? Clean energy is good. And MDTL back down to 3 cents.

HLXW and XSNX both up 13. Just cuz I guess.

EARLY

WWPW acquired a 4MW wind project in Germany for over $1.1M and will bring it in at $3/W late this year. The feed-in tariff gives them 9.5 Euro cents/W for 20 years. Wind Works also has 80MW of projects in Ontario and a 275MW pipeline in US.

FSLR to double its plant capacity in Germany to ~446MW by late '11. First Solar now has 1.3GW production capacity. By Q1 '12 they will have more than 2.1GW.

SPWRA got another 9MW solar farm order in Spain. Operational by year end. 38-hectare site (~95 acres). Sunpower's new tracking tech requires only half the land area of older fixed-tilt dual-axis trackers. SPWRA has over 550MW of solar systems installed or under contract.

SATC was selected by S. Cal Edison for 75% of PV solar inverter business. Edison plans up to 250MW of solar over next 5 years, with 75MW in immediate development. Another 250MW will be developed by independent power producers.

AONE added to its contract with Navistar to build more li-ion batteries for delivery trucks.

AFPW signed a partnership agreement to develop more UUVs - unmanned underwater vehicles - and other products to add to their recent Navy contract. Aluminum-water fuel cells.

SOLR announced $70M+ polySi equipment contract with Asian manufacturer.

ESLR down 5 to 80 cents. Sure seems buyable to me. Down that 10% I mentioned days ago. I just believe they're going to start to get at the profit issues. Their P/S and P/B are really good numbers.

O yea, Crownbutte Wind (CBWP) down 50. They released a shareholder update last Thursday. Listed 10 wind farm projects they're working on.

Well, the down 50 was TD Ameritrade's misprint. Pretty sad a broker can't get it right - though it had it right in its own charts - when Yahoo can. Kind of puts a little dent in confidence. CBWP actually ended up 5.

SATURDAY

First Solar (FSLR) says it can't meet the demand for solar modules this year. They've postponed US projects to meet Euro demand. The big Chinese producers - Suntech, Yingli and Trina (all on NYSE) - are also sold out. Italy, France, Spain, China, Australia, Middle East, Africa all are growing markets. So, will other solar makers get the overflow? There sure are plenty of them. SOLF, ESLR, CSIQ (though in a dogfight right now), CSUN, SPWRA, ENER, ASTI, FDEI ... the list is long. And what about all that crap earlier this year about a glut of panels?!

Pulte will now offer solar on their homes in more projects. Same with Beazer in Phoenix area.

Changing gears. The panic of '07. 1907. And a hundred years later... Anyway, the 1907 panic started with an attempt to manipulate the stock price of United Copper Company. Pretty benign, one would think. But it triggered a run on banks so much that the federal government had to make the first bailout in US history of $25M. J.P. Morgan, in his 70's, couldn't pull all the strings any longer. This all led to the Fed Reserve, created in '13. And, O, by the by, the IRS. From a secret meeting late in '10 on Jekyll Island, Ga. with politicians and bankers. For a bailout mechanism. Charles Lindbergh Sr. called it a "wonderfully devised plan specifically fitted for Wall Street securing control of the world". And Brandeis titled his article "Our Financial Oligarchy". "Dominated by the investment banker." Well, we don't have investment bankers anymore. Do we? They're now all bank holding companies. Aren't they? Our new-age Glass-Steagall, yea? And we now have new rules in place (e.g. no more naked shorting and new circuit breakers) and looking forward to financial regulation legislation soon. M hm. Well, for good or bad, the first Fed prez was Morgan's right hand man, Ben Strong. We got light regulation, cheap money and no risk management. Sixteen years later was '29, after a decade of Republican deregulation. Though, we must admit, we also had Prohibition. Nipples up. O yea, and in the early 1800's it was the First Bank of the United States v. Jefferson and then the Second Bank of the United States v. Jackson.

God, please bless America. And for Your sakes please bestow more wisdom upon all of us. Amen.

May the Fed control monetary leverage very well.

O yea, and the Gulf of Mexico. Lord please make BP plug the pipe. And then make them get the hell out of the oil business.

And, while you're at it Lord, take over North Korea and Iran and Gaza and Myanmar. For starters.

Well, sad but true. All but about 20,000 jobs added in May were census takers. My cynical side says Republicans are basically in charge of business and Republicans don't want Democrats to have success with the economy before November. But that's just my cynical side. Reality is things are bad and we're trying to make things better. Hungary now is in some trouble. O well, another country we will hear more about. So we're headed back down. And will probably need some more stimulus for jobs. And that should be in clean energy in my humble opinion.

MDTL up 33. Just normal trade range. AXTG rebounded 20 from yesterday. LSCG up 5. NPWZ back up 5. BSRC up 4.

EVSO recoiled 16 after yesterday's craziness. HLXW only down 7. Kind of surprising, though they were down much more earlier.

OVERNIGHT

FCEL contract with PG&E puts the install at $4.50/W. Not too bad. And Schumer working on a bill in Senate to help PLUG sell their fuel cells for forklifts. So. Fuel cells are not dead despite the DOE cutback. However, as investments go, these guys combined have lost over $1B over the years. Let alone BLDP. They've lost over $1B on their own, though amazingly near 1X book value. God only knows when any of them will be actually profitable.

More good news department: Myanmar is taking steps toward a nuclear weapons program.

HYDB up 215. Just showing you the potential of the craziness. They absolutely don't tell a thing of what they do or anything on finances, but apparently they're to be part of "This Week" on Money TV on Friday. EVSO ended up 41 on their news about the Stanford discovery. Crazy investors. FCEL up 24. Well, welcome back from the dead there. EVCA up 22. HLXW ended up 74. And back to reality, SLTZ up 16. SOLF up 6. ECNG held 6. And PWSV up 5.

PSRU down 16. Not sure about these guys. FDEI down 13. Ditto. AXTG down another 11. Up 10 on year. MDTL down 12.

Now, how many new jobs in May.

MIDAFT

Midaft could be construed as buttcrack. But in this case it's the middle of the afternoon. And I am just going to say ESLR may be ready for the clearance sale. Put in buy orders maybe down 10% or just keep it in screen but I think it's ready to go up.

FDEI down 13 to their last 200-day line. Do they have $500M in contracts or don't they. Seems like their days of reckoning.

MIDDAY

(stock #'s in %)

Manufacturing for May came in a disappointment, retail sales ditto, but service sector up. Blah. Fitch the first to downgrade BP after BP already down what, 40%?, since the blowup. Does that say anything about the anal-ists? And the ump blew the guy's perfect game with a bad call. Boy can it get any worse?

HLXW up 90. Was 100 when I started to write, then went to down 62 while I wrote. They put the news out early this morning about protecting their vertical axis wind turbine tech patents, but I didn't think it was THIS big a deal or I would have given ye heds up.

EVSO up 35. They put out news this morning too touting new PV electrodes for 12% more efficiency. Only they were just reporting on a bunch of Stanford students who came up with it. You think traders are starved for news? Or it's just the old manipulators getting better? Really.

EVCA up another 22, maybe 50% last 2 days. Hay, there's trading money to be made.

FCEL up 21. A contract with PG&E. Not that big. But any news is a goldmine. OK, some confirmation that they're alive too, I don't know.

ECOS up 11. Cuz. NWPZ up 12 now. ECNG up 6. BSRC up 5. Dow down 40 points now. MDTL down 12. PSRU back down 8. BWEN down 7. Dow now down 56.

O yea, US national debt went over $13T. Happy trails.

Nothing going nowhere fast. S&P bouncing off a try to bust through 200-days. Dow and Naz still above theirs. No volume. And the market awaits tomorrow's jobs report, expecting .5M new jobs added, so I've herd or red.

NPWZ back up 7 from yesterday's plunge. AKNS up 4 on upgrade. MDTL down 12. On the bottom. BWEN back down 7. And that's about the enchilada.

BWEN up 15. SLTZ up 13. MXWL up 12. PSRU up 11. LSCG up 9. NPWZ down 15. HLXW down 13. FDEI down 9.

MIDDAY

It's MXWL today. Up 15, busting through its 50-day lines and close to 200s already. Just their turn I guess. No new news, just cumulative news lately. Ultracapacitors for EVs. LSCG hanging up 8. Better buy LEDs. SLTZ up 13. Remember, they were supposed to acquire that other solar company? BWEN up 7. Jump off the bottom. Building out wind farms. And now servicing blades.

HLXW down 16 on the road to the bottom. Until they grab a contract or two. NPWZ came back a little. Down 13. Impatient - antsy - investors I guess. We're told they have contracts to be delivered on. Big target for price in 12 months from Zacks. AEHI (nukes) and EFOI (LEDs) off 6.

And the Dow steaming back up on housing report supposedly.

Big bad news is SEC investigation of CSIQ '09 sales. Down 19. Probably will dog the stock for months. NPWZ down 21. That should be oversold territory. AEHI down 7.

I don't know, do you ever feel that there's no such thing anymore as supply and demand making stock prices? I hate to feel this jaded. So I won't.

Market turned down as I sort of predicted. What's the good news? We haven't all blowed up.

Awe it's not that bad now is it? A correction is really a good thing. Especially after coming out of looking into the eyes of a great depression and then going up 75%. I'm just deflated from the lack of attention to clean energy. But that's my hangup. And I mean attention by our "leaders". So, we have to do it. Us. Believing in free market markets if we have to.

OK. So what happened captains. LSCG lost 16. DSTID 20. But look at why there. PWSV ended up down 11. SLTZ 14. AXTG down 18, still up 30% on year. CSIQ, SOLF and I'm sure others down 8. ASTI and APWR down 7s.

Who had the audacity to go up? AEHI up 10. Nukes. LMCO 8. EVs. VCTXF 7. Not sure if it's algae or just green gardening. FDEI 6. One of my picks. NENE up 5. Well, sure, no revs, but great potential. How about those with revs or real contracts? ULBI finished up 7. That makes sense. Still crossed over 200-day lines.

PANL was a rage. Up 14 to a new high on their organic LEDs. And finally, WWPW up 11 just to get back to where they were. I guess.

And there we have it fellow rockheads. June 1. woo.

PS. Biodiesel industry (I guess US) est. 15B gal in '15. 5B '09. And US installed solar PV 2GW at start of '10. Est. 11Gw in '15.

MIDDAY

(stock #'s in %)

Summer crawl. Very low volume. DSTID - Daystar - down 27. I guess that buying on Friday was mostly shorting. Bluefire - BFRE - joins SLTZ at down 13. LSCG now down 10.

ULBI - batts - up 12, passing through their 200-day lines on above avg volume. GBRC now up 14. Microwave oil extraction. I know, it shouldn't be on my clean energy list. Though it can also get oil out of tires, trash and other waste. But still. Oil is not clean. Going to my dump list.

LMCO and AEHI up 7. And BSRC up another 3.

PWSV - Powersave - is dropping out as I write. Down 19. No explanation. I red somewhere lately that there was a try to stop the Calif PACE program. New yearly low. On my short term attractive list. Now down 12.

Market started down off other markets, China slowdown, Spain downgrade, Canada raising interest rates, the oil spill, you name it. Then construction and manufacturing reports showed US growth looking OK and boomarang. But very low volume. Least on the upside.
