STUFF

Oil/NG production fell on federal (US) tracts in '11. No figs yet.

Shell has built next-gen biofuels pilot plant in Houston to produce drop-in biofuels. Not ethanol. Uses Virent tech. Drop-in biofuels eliminate blending/storage infrastructure, engine mods.

China launched renewable energy think tank.

Leak at Marcellus well bigger than thought.

Global econ grew 3.8% in '11, down from 5.2% in '10. Draw your own conclusions.

SD approved subsidy of 20 cents/gal for ethanol plants to transition to butanol. I'm trying to figure that out too.

And that is all I found pretty much today. Some days there's less than others. What can we do about it? Happy trails, pards. Time to write a song maybe.
