1,857 American warriors have given their lives in Afghanistan to date. 4,485 did in Iraq. We owe their families. We owe all who served or serving.

On to less important stuff.

Southern Comp's shareholders pushing for more solar, renewables.

NG in Europe ~$10/TCF. Even more in Asia. $2.57 in USA. But. It can cost up to $15 for every barrel of wastewater hauled away from a frack site. The industry uses ~750M bls of water per day. Waterless fracking, though, already in use by Chevron, Shell and others.

Bella Energy completed 1.65MW solar project - Utah's largest solar array - on roof of Salt Lake City's convention center. Will provide ~17% of center's el use. 6-month build, >14K man-hours.

Many comps selling eco-friendly products struggling to meet demand, even though some charge up to 25% more for greener goods.

Deloitte says 90% of all comps have now set targets to reduce energy use, primarily driven by cutting costs in econ downturn, but 1/3 driven by regulation.

Cal PUC ruled in favor of net-metering. Should be long-term boost to residential solar.
