Last Thursday the Dow and the S&P got all the way back to their 200-day lines. Friday they went back down. The Naz is still above the 200's. Seems to say we're headed back down. But I'm not predicting anything.
I reported from the Wall St Journal last week that the Coast Guard said the oil leak was plugged. Obviously they had only meant it was drilling mud coming out, not oil. Until that failed. Question is, is any national leader going to call for a "moon shot" program to get EV's and their needed clean electrical generation and non food-based biofuels going to replace oil?
World solar PV demand to grow 58% in '10. US wind est. installs '10 is 6.3-7MW. '09 was 9.8MW.
India Q1 GDP up 8.6%.
GE at last getting US wind turbine contracts. Latest for Lake Erie outside Cleveland. Whom here remembers the Cuyahoga River on fire? Pretty much started Earth Day. And a day after this year's Earth Day we got the Gulf oil spill. The history of environmental consciousness could be a book by now.
Gov of Maine wants to build 5 gigs of tidal power. THAT's a go!
Is it ever unbelievable department: BP just hired former head of public affairs at DOE for PR. I'm starting to think BP will declare bankruptcy. And just walk away from that dam hole. No. I guess that 's really too despairacle. Despairacle: A despairable debacle.. Use in sentence. I just did. Could BP be trying to keep oil prices up by extending this oil spill? That would be worse than despairacle. That would be evil. Evil: don't even want to think about it. Use in sentence: Did again.
Reports that Duke Energy - Doo-kee - is putting squeeze on solar in SEast.
