OOGI. Odyssey Oil & Energy. Up 22% yesterday. I said I didn't have a clue. Actually, they have a pilot plant demonstrating their tech of algae production with carbon capture. One of the best techs going forward I think. Algae for biofuel grown faster with the CO2. Carbon taken out, oxygen put in air. Got to love that. S. Africa comp. No revs yet but next step is commercial plant. One to watch.
Also had no clue on GAEC, Down 33%. Gulf Alternative Energy Corp. One of the most opaque comps in the list. They say they're "focused" on developing and constructing cellulosic ethanol technologies. Only numbers found are $30K cash , $300K debt and 2M shares. No news ever. I probably won't ever mention them again until they show up with something. Cellulosic is good. But these guys don't look like the leaders.
SLMU. Salamon Group. Down 23% I reported. They apparently are developing a wireless "electrical power generator". Sounds Tesla-esque. Their plan is to buy a Vegas casino to fund their research and development. It gets better. They had $25 cash and assets as of March 31.
Then I mentioned GAZU down 22%. Gazoo Energy Group. Development stage to "develop green energy techs". They might be making money soon though. They're involved with California's PACE energy program that starts June 2 with $95M. GAZU will at least be doing energy auditing for Pacific Housing Finance Agency. The entire program is several billion bucks funded with muni bonds.
And one more yesterday: PMSV down 14%. Power Save Energy. They offer "energy-saving devices" for residential, commercial and industrial customers. They're in California. So they also might make money from the PACE program. They also retail PV and wind products. They have revs, though off last Q, and nominal losses. Rev of $4.7M '09. Book value of 5 cents, according to Yahoo. Kind of interesting here. They install capacitors to capture lost energy from inductive motors in the house or facility.
