Singapore Q1 GDP up 16%. Somebody's doing well. Oil back over $70. China cracks down on stimulus graft. Hm. What's US doing? Got nowhere on bank reg bill today in Congress. More mortgage deliquencies. About 8% of homeowners close to or in foreclosure. Lot o pain.
SOLR reported FY and Q and was up 5 after hours. They beat on revs and margins and lifted guide on next year net. Revs could double next 2-5 yrs. Backlog down 23% from last yr. APWR (down another 5) another turnaround candidate. BWEN (down 4) one more. FDEI ended up back at $.016. Technicals (prices) are usually evident before fundamentals it's said. This could be double bottom for them. Volume's back.
Well, I guess I do see LSCG now. They have an LED bulb to replace 60W incandescents in the low $30 range. That's half of Phillips' bulb. LSCG's uses 9W and lasts 23 years. How do they know 23 years? Anyway, they have another LED line that retails under $20. Paybacks in under 2 years. Over 400M 60W bulbs sold in US every year. You won't see their bulbs at the Family Dollar though. They'll be at lighting distributors or can be bought directly from the company by Q3 this year. Now all they have to do is learn how to make a profit.
I red EVCA's Q report and it doesn't look that good to me. But, as is said, technicals precede fundamentals.
When will somebody plug that dam oil pipe? This is unbelievable. Oil in the marshes now. Everything dies. BP's buying some of Kevin Costner's water/oil vacuums that separates the two. O, but a month in. Heads should roll.
Well, happier trails pards, pardettes.
