Bloomberg report: US fuel blenders can use up to 20% of blending requirements this year in form of RINS from previous production rather than buying new production. Blenders must use 13.8B gal of ethanol this yr. Bloomberg est. 13.4B will be produced. Last week RIN prices jumped 38% to 47 cents.

Lith-ion batt cell can store ~200 watt hrs/kg. We need 800, at least. Petrol has ~13Kwh/kg. Lith-air batts can deliver 12Kw. But hard to build.

NASA suggesting household water boilers could soon be replaced by small nuke reactors. Low-E reactors (LENRs). No ionizing radiation. No waste. Device fires slow-moving neutron into nickel. Neutron splits into electron, proton. Extra system could be added to use the heat to make power. Carbon could be used instead of nickel, would be turned into nitrogen.

Coal bed methane promise could be as great as LNG or shale gas. Stiff enviro opposition, though.

Research: global gen cap of wind power has been overest. Not as much wind power as thought. Every turbine has downwind "shadow". A few terrawatts may be limit.
