Tasmania state-owned comp developing $47.5M wind, solar, diesel (to use biodiesel), giant batt project to power small island. Replacing diesel power. Batt made by Australia sub of PA-based comp. 3Mw cap. Advanced hybrid lead-acid batt.

Campbell Soup, CH4 Biogas to build OH's 1st commercial biogas power plant. Campbell to divert 35-50% of its factory waste to plant, other waste from area food processors, waste recyclers and dairy farms. Will replace ~ 25% of factory's el use while improving its recycling rate to ~95% and reducing GHG emissions ~16K metric tons/yr (3K cars). Plant will process ~450 tons of waste/d. Online mid-'13. Partly financed by Danish export credit agency. Adjacent 9.8Mw solar farm now provides 15% of Campbell's power use at factory. Buy some soup.

~120K solar jobs now in US, 13% over '11.
