Vestas got order for 52MW of wind turbines for Spain farm. 2MW turbines. Delivery 1Q12.

Ormat signed 20-year PPA for 10MW solar PV farm in Imperial Valley, CA.

Team at Notre Dame developed inexpensive "solar paint". Uses semiconducting nanoparticles (quantum dots). 1% efficiency so far.

JASO got 19MW order from German comp. Up 2% on the news.

France's EDF - Europe's biggest power generator - to pay $914M to increase holdings in Italy's 2nd largest utility - Edison - to 81% from just over 50%.

Tres Amigas raised $12M from Mitsui to complete $15M round. ~$1.5B needed for the superconducting, direct current super hub to connect US' 3 major grids.
