MORE STUFF

India can't get enough fuel - mostly coal - to run their power plants. And some retail el prices are below production costs because of price controls. The lack of energy is contributing to econ slow down - GDP est. up 7% this year v. '10's 10%. Businesses forced to run backup gen on diesel at 3X the cost of grid power. Country's had to import coal lately and principal supplier - Indonesia - has doubled their prices. State-owned India Coal controls 80% of production and required to sell coal at 70% discount to market prices. Talk about a mess.

National Park Service plans to reduce carbon emissions 35% by '20. Will increase alt fuel use, reduce fossil fuel use and take efficiency measures.
