Utica shale a few thousand feet below Marcella across 8 states and part of Canada. Ohio's portion most significant for oil and wet gas. Further east is dry gas. Ohio Utica could be 5.5B bls oil, 15.7TCF gas. (USGS est. Bakken @ 4.3B bls oil.)  Active rigs in OH up over 2x in last 2 years. 150 permits issued for Utica shale wells. BP picked up 84K acres. Chesapeake holds >1M acres. Top landholders include Anadarko, Devon, Hess and Chevron.
