Xcel/SPWRA commissioned 19MW solar plant in CO. Largest PV plant in state. SPWRA currently building another 30MW in CO owned by Iberdrola.

B.C. to become Canada's 1st offshore wind production region.

Acciona opened 2nd CSP (concentrated solar power) plant in Spain. E257M for 50MW. Acciona now has 4 solar thermal plants done - 214MW. One in NV - 64MW. 2 more in construction in Spain - 314MW for E1.4B.

NENE news this week was achievement of 3X increase of number of solar cells layered onto glass surfaces. And still working on kinetic motion power.

Gamesa expanding into India to offset weakness in Europe/US.

SPIR's year report $80M revs - up 14%. Net loss $400k.

Iran's el, el eng, tech svcs exports up to $4B from $1B last year (March to March). Exported ~6.5TWh of el to neighbors. Increased el imports to 3.2TWh. Integrated into 7 neighbors.

Argan (AGX) subsid contracted CPV Sentinel to build $220M 800 MW (do that math) simple-cycle peaking power plant in S.Cal. Do that math.

Georgia Power expects approval to decertify 2 coal units - 569MW - in lieu of paying for enviro controls. Company currently 9.6GW of coal power @ 10 plants. Largest subsid of Southern Co. (SO).

Honeywell got $213M contract from GSA for continued development of on-site utilities and E infrastructure @ FDA HQ.

CSIQ to build 3rd (10MW) solar park in Ontario.

JUHL completed construction/grid connect of 20MW wind farm. $42M. On time, under budget. 20yr PPA with Xcel E.

GE's first new 2.75 (MW)-103 wind turbine commissioned in Netherlands E research center. 50-meter blade. 9% production increase over 2.5-100.

Siemens launched new direct drive wind turbine for low to moderate wind speeds. 2.3-113. New one installed in Netherlands this month.
